"Wow. Greg went ABOVE and BEYOND what was expected of him-- he was utterly magnificent, in every way. His musicianship is unparalleled and his attention to detail and personalization was wonderful. He not only provided beautiful music preluding the ceremony, but also used my favorite childhood song for my recessional.”  Sarah

Planning Music For Your Wedding Ceremony.

For your special day, I'm sure you have thought a lot about the music. Below is a brief description of basic wedding ceremony musical elements. Don't feel limited to these ideas. I am flexible and may surprise you with my openness to your suggestions! My repertoire is always expanding and in our discussions, you will have much more from which to choose.

The Prelude

The Prelude sets the mood for your guests as they arrive and are seated. I will start about 30 minutes before the ceremony begins and weave a tapestry of familiar, beautiful melodies. It could include a mix of classic, contemporary, or sacred piano stylings that guests of all generations will recognize. I am open to your suggestions to include specific genres and I am prepared with extra music for those unexpected ceremony delays.  You may mix and match music for any part of the wedding service.

The Processional

The processional announce the arrival of the wedding party, which includes the family, bridal party and the bride. One piece of music is usually applied throughout the processional, except for the entrance of the bride. Her music requires pageantry and drama to highlight her entrance!

Special Music

Many couples request special songs or interludes to accompany symbolic moments such as the lighting of a unity candle or special sand ceremony, or for the entrance of the ring bearers.  I will offer you many to choose from and am available to provide custom music.

The Recessional

The Recessional concludes the ceremony as the bride and groom exit to the applause of their guests. This music is usually bright and lively, and full of exuberance, reflecting the joy of the occasion. Postlude music is  included to accompany guests as they exit the ceremony.

The greatest rewards of being a professional musician are the smiles I have helped bring to the occasions I serve.  I never                              take my responsibilities for granted, and strive to exceed all expectations.
